Designed in 1947 for a printed textiles competition at the Museum of Modern Art, the Small Dot Pattern is a classic. The fabric itself was not produced until 2000, when the Eames Office worked with Maharam Fabrics.
In these Dot Pattern Trays, manufactured by our partner Vitra, this popular pattern is applied to laminated oak plywood. The trays come in two sizes and colorways. Trays are food safe.
Medium: 14.25 x 11 inches. Large: 18 x 14.25 inches.
Charles & Ray Eames
Patterns
Eames textile designs were the culmination of Ray’s experience with abstraction and clothing design. Ray illustrated four textile patterns for a competition at the Museum of Modern Art in 1947, two of which were produced during Charles and Ray’s lifetime. Thanks to Maharam and Lucia Eames, the designs have been transformed into textiles for today’s enjoyment.
