In the 1930s, before meeting Charles and moving to California, Ray Kaiser studied abstract painting under Hans Hofmann in New York City. Two years after finishing her studies with him, Ray created this abstract piece, “To Hofmann Love From Buddha”, for her mentor-turned-friend. This print is the fifth in a series of a paintings by Ray Eames seen at the 2021 Isetan Exhibition in Tokyo, Japan.
